Last week saw a rally for the reinstatement of the 30yo Tweed Valley Women’s Refuge in Murwillumbah.
There was a gathering last Saturday in Murwillumbah and there is ongoing action gaining momentum to reinstate this important service in the Northern Rivers.

4dLUX is projecting visuals this NYE at the Haven Bar and Restaurant in Murwillumbah for the town’s initiation into the world of electronic beats!
A short clip from phone footage of 4dlux video at The Carnival of the Here and Now at The Cedar’s Nursing Home in Casino NSW organised by Chris Mead from Creature Tales with performers from Murwillumbah and Circus Train.
A long held vision of mine has been to provide visuals at Nursing Homes to provide enjoyment and entertainment for the elderly. They are so often forgotten in our individualised western culture, rather than cherished and nurtured for their wisdom in others. How could l have imagined that a chance conversation over breakfast at a BnB in Lismore with Chris Mead from Creature Tales would facilitate that vision into reality.
The video concept was based around short statements Chris had collected from residents which were then transferred to badges that residents could wear on the day. These statements were then animated into simple text which projected onto a wall as an adjunct to the performances.
Last Friday night I provided visuals with a live feed for Tweed Creative and Piece by Piece local Youth night. An open mike for up and coming young stars to get up and have a play. There’s some fabulously talented young people in the area and it’s great to support such an event. Thanks to Chana Waters from Tweed Creative for awesome pics!
