A long held vision of mine has been to provide visuals at Nursing Homes to provide enjoyment and entertainment for the elderly. They are so often forgotten in our individualised western culture, rather than cherished and nurtured for their wisdom in others. How could l have imagined that a chance conversation over breakfast at a BnB in Lismore with Chris Mead from Creature Tales would facilitate that vision into reality.
The video concept was based around short statements Chris had collected from residents which were then transferred to badges that residents could wear on the day. These statements were then animated into simple text which projected onto a wall as an adjunct to the performances.
