Short version test render for Tafe assignment submission last week. Will start to work on longer projection version next week for KCCC opening projections.

Currently I am working on a short video projection piece for the official Kirra Hill Community and Cultural Centre. The piece aims to highlight its links with heritage, community and culture and demonstrate that New Media is alive and kicking on the Southern Gold Coast.

The official opening will be a big day for the centre on Sunday 16th October ’11.  The official opening will be a full day event with many fun activities and workshops for all ages. State and Gold Coast Council dignitaries will be giving speeches since the saving of the old school for the community was funded by GCCC, and was a landmark environmental decision to save the site from developers.

The official opening will also coincide with the opening and Awards event for the White Cockatoo Art Competion.
